Are you better off than you were four years ago – Conference Board Consumer Confidence edition

Continuing on a theme, here’s the chart of the change in the Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence index over the prior four years (assumes no change between now and election day):

Pretty much no matter what happens between now and election day, the change in this metric in October will be enormously positive, showing a big improvement over four years ago. Looking at the data a little differently, here’s the change since Obama was inaugurated:

Any way you look at it, boring into this question is really bad for Republicans.
